TCG World, an online virtual community sandbox, has announced in a post its partnership with Chooky Records, a blockchain music label, aimed at introducing hip-hop music into the metaverse.
TakeAway Points:
- TCG World partners with Chooky Records to bring hip-hop to the metaverse.
- This will mark the first animated video appearance in the metaverse.
- The report also highlighted that this partnership is a major step forward in the integration of music and virtual reality.
Hip-Hop in the Metaverse
The official release of the hit recording artists’ “Chooky” video on the TCG World metaverse will be the first outcome of the two companies‘ partnership. Featuring the vocal talents of Nigerian artist O.T., Australian/Japanese singer Elesia Iimura, and legendary hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes.
According to a press release from TCG World, this marks the first animated video debut in the metaverse at large. Also, the report highlighted that the collaboration is a major step forward in the integration of virtual reality and music.
TCG World and Chooky Records
Meanwhile, TCG World debuted in 2021 as a metaverse with Web3 items, virtual real estate, and a marketplace where nearly everything could be exchanged for nonfungible tokens (NFT). It was advertised at its debut as the biggest game on the BNB Smart Chain blockchain and the first 4K VR low poly game, according to a Cointelegraph report.
On the other hand, Chooky Records is an unconventional record label that creates tokenized, hybrid entertainment experiences by fusing digital music with NFTs.
Furthermore, despite being relatively new to the indie music sector, Chooky Records’ infrastructure has received positive reviews from the industry.
“Chooky allows for artists to not be confined to 360 deals with one off contracts, higher % entitlement to royalties, a high % split from the royalty sharing NFTs, event management, promotion, access to high caliber marketing resources, and introductions to some of the most high-profile artists in the industry.”
As stated in the white paper on Chooky Records.
