The Selection
Walt Disney, the entertainment giant, in a press release, announced the six companies that will be joining the 2022 Disney Accelerator program.
Bonnie Rosen, The General Manager of the Disney Accelerator program, said that for nearly a century, Disney has been working towards building the entertainment experiences of the future. Now with the new companies, they are looking forward to bringing magical experiences to their audiences and guests for the next 100 years.
“The Disney Accelerator is thrilled to be part of that legacy, and with our newest class of companies, we look forward to furthering our commitment to innovation and continuing to bring magical experiences to Disney audiences and guests for the next 100 years.”
Reacting to the selection, Polygon in their announcement said they are excited to be the only Blockchain chosen to be a part of the Disney Accelerator Program.

Ryan Wyatt, the CEO of polygon studios, noted that for Polygon to be the only blockchain selected in Disney’s 2022 Accelerator Program, shows that the work they are doing (polygon) speaks volumes.
The 2022 Disney Accelerator Program
This year’s Accelerator program’s focus is to build the future with Web3 and NFTs. It will kick off this week with Disney’s creativity, imagination, and expertise. Each company participating will receive guidance from Disney’s senior leadership team, and from a dedicated executive mentor.
The program will conclude with a Demo Day in the fall at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California.

The six companies selected for the accelerator programme are:
Flickplay, Inworld, Lockerverse, Obsess, Polygon, and Red 6.
