zkLink an industry-leading provider of zero-knowledge (ZK) Layer 3 infrastructure, announced during ZK Week the release of zkLink Nova, the first aggregated Layer 3 zkEVM rollup network in the business, built on zkSync’s ZK Stack and zkLink Nexus.
TakeAway Points:
- zkLink introduced zkLink Nova, the first aggregated Layer 3 zkEVM rollup network, during the ZK week.
- zkLink Nova seeks to tackle obstacles that have hindered the growth of the Ethereum ecosystem, like the intricacies involved in developing decentralized applications across multiple chains, amongst others.
- With zkLink Nova, developers can access an environment that is compatible with EVMs.
zkLink’s zkLink Nova
zkLink Nova gives developers a decentralized application (dApp) deployment environment that is compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) by combining liquidity and assets from both Ethereum and Layer 2 rollups into a single, interoperable platform.
Due to limited development and liquidity in the Layer 2 ecosystems in past, zkLink Nova tackle the three main obstacles that have hindered the growth of the Ethereum ecosystem:
- The dispersion of liquidity among Layer 2 blockchains.
- The intricacies involved in developing decentralized applications across multiple chains.
- The unsatisfactory user experience resulting from the segregation of assets and applications between chains.
“The launch of zkLink Nova represents a major milestone for both zkLink and the wider Ethereum ecosystem. For too long, the lack of interoperability between chains has stunted innovation and adoption. With Nova, we are pioneering the concept of an Aggregated Layer 3 that unifies liquidity and development across Ethereum and Layer 2 blockchains. We are proud to advance the Ethereum ecosystem forward for all Ethereum users who stand to benefit from the accelerated growth of a more open and connected network of chains.”
Vince Yang, Founder and CEO of zkLink, commented on the report.
zkLink Nova Strategy
According to the report, zkLink Nova eliminates the need to bridge assets between chains with its innovative “Aggregated Layer 3” design by utilizing zero-knowledge proofs to obtain aggregated liquidity from Layer 2 and Ethereum networks. The deployment of apps onto zkLink Nova allows developers to access an environment that is compatible with EVMs.
Meanwhile, the zkLink Nova will be launched on March 8. “This is a huge milestone for the zkLink community and the Ethereum ecosystem as well,” said Vince Yang, CEO and founder.
