Wayve, the leader in embodied AI for autonomous driving, on Thursday announced that it has signed a letter of intent with NVIDIA to evaluate a $500 million strategic investment in Wayve’s next funding round.
According to the report, Wayve’s foundation model approach, combined with NVIDIA’s automotive-grade increased computing platforms, provides automakers with the advanced AI and hardware needed to deliver next-generation mobility solutions on a global scale.
Alex Kendall, Co-founder and CEO of Wayve, said, “Continued support from a global technology leader like NVIDIA underscores confidence in our AV2.0 approach to building embodied AI and its potential to transform the future of mobility.”
The Beginning
The company said it has partnered with NVIDIA since 2018, with each generation of Wayve’s robot platforms quickened by NVIDIA technology.
The next Wayve Gen 3 platform will be built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, Wayve said.
Wayve and Uber Collaborate to Launch L4 Autonomy Trials in the UK
On June 10, 2025, Wayve and Uber reported a first-ever plan to develop and launch public-road trials of Level 4 (L4) fully autonomous vehicles in London. This announcement marks the UK as the largest market where Uber has announced an intention to pilot autonomous vehicles.

The two companies will partner with the UK Government and Transport for London on the permitting and regulatory approval process before the launch, the report stated.
