Polygon Connect: Web3 made in India
Polygon announced that it is bringing blockchain builders together in a Web3 program called PolygonConnect India. Polygon Connect India is a networking event where India’s vibrant blockchain and software developers will unite to share ideas.

According to them, “there will be no Web without India,” as the country has always been home to developers from Web2 to Web3, and with this event, they want to celebrate developers in Web3.
“Polygon believes that India will be the epicenter of building and adoption of new blockchain technologies, and we want to help. Introducing Polygon’s Web3: Made in India Tour, a rolling celebration of blockchain builders, culminating at the biggest Web3 festivity of all: ETHIndia! With seven Polygon guide events and the first-ever Polygon Connect: India, we’re touring the country to celebrate the developers who’ve made Web3 possible,” the company said.
The report says that the layer 2 blockchain started its journey in India and came into the spotlight after ETHIndia 2019. Then there were 40 dapps on the network, but now there are tens of thousands of dapps launched on Polygon.
India Guild Roadshow
Polygon said there will be an India Roadshow where some of the brightest minds in Web3 will provide IRL, hands-on-blockchain education across the country, starting from Kochi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Delhi.

The India Guide is the 56 guilds in the world; it’s a platform for local communities, where like-minded developers from different countries come together.
Polygon X ETHIndia

ETHIndia is a “hackathon” where developers in the Ethereum ecosystem are joining with more than 1500 builders all over the world to build decentralized applications for the future.
The final stage of the event is ETHIndia, which will start from Dec 2-4 with speakers from the biggest names in Web3.
Speakers and judges include; Polygon’s Co-Founder, Sandeep Nailwal; Kartik Talwar, ETHGlobal; Anish Mohammed, Panther Protocol; Min Teo, Ethereal Ventures; Denver Dsouza, Devfolio; Juan Benet, Protocol Labs; Swaroop Hedge, PowerLoom; Molly Mackinlay, Protocol Labs, and more.
Major companies like Robinhood, Starbucks, Nubank, and more have chosen Polygon as the entryway into Web3.
