Google announced on Thursday that they are joining with DeepMind to create a new unit called Google DeepMind. According to the report, the aim of creating the unit is to ensure that the development of general AI is developed safely and responsibly.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said that combining two world-class teams into one unit will help increase the progress in AI.
“Combining all this talent into one focused team, backed by the computational resources of Google, will significantly accelerate our progress in AI.” Said Sundar.

What is Google DeepMind?
