Dubai to Increase Metaverse Efforts with 40,000 New Jobs

Dubai vice, in line with the directives of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president, prime minister, ruler of Dubai, crown prince of Dubai, and chairman of the executive council, on Monday launched the Dubai Metaverse Strategy.

The Dubai Metaverse Launch

The Emirates News Agency, on Monday, in a press release announced the launch of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy. This launch was carried out under the directives of the Chairman of the Dubai Executive council.

According to the report, The launch aims to turn Dubai into one of the world’s top 10 Metaverse economies as well as a global hub for the metaverse community.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan in a statement said that the launch is a stepping stone in Dubai’s vision to use future technologies to create new work and increase the Metaverse’s impact on regional and global economies.

The Dubai Metaverse Strategy

According to the report, the strategy will help to Attract more than 1,000 companies in the field of Blockchain and Metaverse. It will help to support more than 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030. Hamdan also said that the strategy will support the development of Web3 technology and its application to create new governmental work models. The release also stated that It will help in developing vital sectors, including tourism, education, retail, remote work, healthcare, and the legal sector.

Hamdan also said that the Strategy’s key pillar focus would be on Extended reality, Augmented reality (AR) Virtual reality (VR), and Digital twins ( A Virtual representation of worlds).

In line with the launch, The Museum of the future will host the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” next September. According to the report, The Metaverse forum is a global event that will be held in Dubai with the participation of 300 international experts, and 40 institutions specializing in Metaverse technologies and applications.
