Binance Makes Khaby Lame Their New Global Brand Ambassador

Khaby lame, the world’s most famous Tiktok star, has been signed as the new global brand ambassador for Binance on Thursday.

The Importance of the Deal

The Lame’s deal will help to clear misperceptions around Web3, introduce Web3 to his fans, and increase Web3 awareness according to Binance in a statement.

“Khaby will use his signature style to tackle some of the misperceptions around Web3 and will partner on exclusive NFT collections with Binance , further enhancing the experience for his fans”.

James Rothwell, Binance Global’s vice President of Marketing said in a post that through creativity and education they are going to grow crypto awareness together.

 “This is going to be a lot of fun. Welcome to the Binance family Khaby Lame! Together we are going to release exclusively Khaby NFT collections, and grow crypto awareness responsibly, through creativity and education”.

He also added that it will be exciting to see the worlds of Binance and TikTok colliding.

Khaby Lame and Web 3

Khaby Lame is a 22 years old Senegalese based in Italy. He worked as a CNC machine operator at a factory near Turin. After he was laid off from work during the covid 19 pandemic in 2020, Lame began to post on Tiktok. He became famous for his” Khaby Moves” on Tiktok videos where he mocks overly complicated life hacks in his videos, he would perform the same tasks simply without saying anything.

In January 2022, he was featured in the #BeYourOwnBoss campaign, a multi-year partnership he entered with Hugo Boss. June 22, 2022, Lame became TikTok’s most-followed creator, with 142.1 million followers.

The brand new ambassador Khaby Lame said, “I consider my followers as my family, and I am always looking for new challenges and interesting content to share with them”.

He also said he has been curious about Web3 for some time, and jumped at the chance to partner with a leader like Binance because it aligns “perfectly” with what he usually does.

Last week, Binance the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume partnered with the world’s legendary football player Cristiano Ronald to introduce Web3 to his fans, and to create NFTs that will be sold on the Binance platform.
