The Binance NFT Platform
Despite Binance leading in significant areas in the industry, Its NFT platform powered by BSC has not gained momentum compared to its competitors like Ethereum and Solana. The CR7 deal may be the start of the rush for NFT related to the Binance ecosystem as hinted by CZ retweeting the official announcement.
The Binance NFT platform was launched in 2021 on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and offers unique NFTs with Gaming/IGO, Marketplace, and Mystery Boxes categories. The Binance NFT platform charges low fees, which gives it a high advantage over others.
Binance has sponsored many international events including the 64th Grammy Awards.
The NFT industry and Sports
This is not the first time a famous footballer has collaborated with a cryptocurrency-related company.
In March, Argentine forward, Lionel Messi signed an agreement worth more than $20 million to promote the digital fan token company, Socios. Socios partnered with more than 130 football clubs and fan icon leagues and introduced Messi as its first global ambassador.
Messi and many other sports stars such as NFL quarterback Tom Brady and NBA star LeBron James are officially part of the crypto community.
