Facebook and its products went offline today, causing worldwide panic that saw users taking to other social networks for safety.

Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram shuts down for several hours.

The Facebook Company, In the late hours of Oct. 4, went offline. This includes all their social networks like Facebook itself, Whatsapp, Instagram, and Oculus.

It was reported that many of the 2.7billion users lost money, missed virtual meetings, opportunities, classes, and many more

Users run to other platforms for refuge

Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram users moved to other social media platforms to get Information about the blackout of Facebook, and to know if and when the social network could come back up.

Twitter, Telegram, and other social networks received a surge of users trying to continue their day-to-day business while waiting for Facebook’s restoration.

Mark loses $6bn after the shutdown.

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, lost more than $6bn within a few hours of the breach. He now bags the fifth position after Bill Gates on the Bloomberg Billionaires chart. Mark went down the Stock chat to $121.6bn.

Could Facebook be in Trouble?

A Former Facebook Product Manager, Frances Haugen, has written to the senate to prosecute Facebook Inc. She further stated that Facebook products harm children and weaken American Democracy.

Frances said the company leaders know how to make their products safer for children but won’t make the necessary changes because they put their profits before people, and these choices are disastrous.

She said while at work she has seen Mark resolve conflicts between his profits and users’ safety, and he chose his profit over the users’ safety.
